ABOUT THE PASTORS

The Reverends Greg and Becky Town both hail from Michigan, where they met at Hope College, were married in 2002, attended Western Theological Seminary, and were ordained in 2007. Greg and Becky completed an internship at First Bethlehem in 2007 moving permanently to NY to co-pastor the Reformed Dutch Church of Prattsville and Jewett Presbyterian later that year following their ordinations as Minister of Word and Sacrament.

Over the years, they became the busy parents (and now homeschool teachers) to Karissa (12), Emelyn (9), and Joseph (6). Greg enjoyed serving bi-vocationally for several years in Prattsville, working as the general manager of Catskill Mtn Wine & Liquor.

Greg recently served the Regional Synod of New York as Minister of Revitalization and Renewal, while Becky co-pastored at the Reformed Church of New Paltz.

The family enjoys exploring the wonders and beauty of nature together. A favorite family activity is visiting zoos and parks. Greg loves cooking and baking for family and friends, as well as homebrewing (when he has the time). Becky enjoys singing and playing the piano, reading, and dabbling art projects. Karissa is an avid reader, Emelyn a talented artist, and Joseph a beginning paleontologist. The family pets include a 12-year-old pug named Zadock and a 1-year-old rescue dog named Hayden.
