ABOUT THE PASTORS

The Reverends Greg and Becky Town both hail from Michigan, where they met at Hope College, were married in 2002, attended Western Theological Seminary, and were ordained in 2007. Greg and Becky completed an internship at First Bethlehem in 2007 moving permanently to NY to co-pastor the Reformed Dutch Church of Prattsville and Jewett Presbyterian later that year following their ordinations as Minister of Word and Sacrament.

Over the years, they became the busy parents (and homeschool teachers) to three amazing kids. Greg also enjoyed serving bi-vocationally for several years in Prattsville, working as the general manager of Catskill Mtn Wine & Liquor and as a substitute teacher at GCCS. Becky also enjoyed volunteering at GCCS for several of their musicals.

Greg served the Regional Synod of New York from 2016 to 2020 as Minister of Revitalization and Renewal, while Becky co-pastored at the Reformed Church of New Paltz.

The family enjoys exploring the wonders and beauty of nature together. Some favorite family activities include visiting zoos, historic locations, and parks of all varieties. Greg loves cooking and baking for family and friends, as well as touring breweries and distilleries. Becky enjoys singing and playing the piano, reading, and dabbling in art projects. And nothing beats relaxing together as a family (along with their rescue dog, Hayden) for a movie.
